Is drinking a gallon of pure green tea bad for me?

I drink about a gallon of pure green tea that I brew myself. No sugar added. Just a little lemon juice. Is that too much?

1. I think even a gallon a day is a little too much. i dont know what it will do to your body but everything is good until you eat or drink too much of it. Try to space out the gallon through the whole week, sounds much healthier that way to me.

2. You shouldn’t drink it all at once. Some people don’t know this but consuming too much water too fast can kill a person. Most people figure you would just throw up or something, not necessarily. The water goes to the brain and causes swelling coma sometimes death. Triathlon runners and other athletes have to be careful. Death this way is called Water Intoxication. Back to your question. I didn’t know the answer but wanted to know for myself so I did some research. There is a BBC News article about tea.

The researchers recommend people consume three to four cups a day. Drinking three or more cups of tea a day is as good for you as drinking plenty of water and may even have extra health benefits, say researchers. The work in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition dispels the common belief that tea dehydrates. Tea not only rehydrates as well as water does, but it can also protect against heart disease and some cancers, UK nutritionists found. Experts believe flavonoids are the key ingredient in tea that promote health. Ok so I assume you specifically want to know about green tea.

Here is some benefits:

In1994 the Journal of the National Cancer Institute published the results of an epidemiological study indicating that drinking green tea reduced the risk of esophageal cancer in Chinese men and women by nearly sixty percent. University of Purdue researchers recently concluded that a compound in green tea inhibits the growth of cancer cells. There is also research indicating that drinking green tea lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol.
